About Me

I have been a licensed real estate broker for over 40 years (1978), following a successful family tradition started with my grandfather, extending to both my parents and siblings. Throughout my real estate career, I have helped countless buyers, sellers and agents realize their real estate dreams.
In addition to practicing my trade in Ottawa, I was licensed in Alberta and California. I launched, managed and/or owned five real estate offices, hiring and training over 375 agents over a 20 year period. I was also partnered with the late Gord Taylor as a development-land purchase & sale specialist Cushman Wakefield. After his passing, I was the National Manager of Practice Solutions' Tenant Lease Services at the Canadian Medical Association, leading a team of commercial property experts who advised member physicians across the country on clinic leasing and office development matters.
For six years until 2016, I applied my accumulated experience helping the City of Ottawa as a real estate acquisitions consultant for the Light Rapid Transit (LRT) project. My primary focus was team negotiations related to integrating the 6 tunnel station entrances with adjacent office and retail buildings.
I earned an Economics and Urban Studies degree from York University, an MBA from the University of Ottawa and completed a "Certified Commercial Investment Member" designation from the CCIM Institute of Chicago.
My hobbies include landscape oil painting and commercial drone photography & video productions.
My wife Janet and I live in Alta Vista, where we brought-up three amazing daughters (and a few happy dogs).
